Staten Island Ferry
I work for an architectural firm and we are possibly designing "Slice" for a Las Vegas location. My boss asked me to stop by while I was there to check it out, get some pictures, local information, etc. It was a fun little pizza joint with a healthy flare, whole-wheat crust, organic veggies and cheese, free-range chicken, etc.
Trip Highlight. We stayed at "The Jane", a really great funky hotel with a great little history. It was built in 1906 where it was used for lodging for sailors and captains. They built the rooms with little port hole windows and narrow small rooms like a ships corridors. It was used to house Titanic survivors after the ship sank. Its a mix of nautical flare, Victorian, and new age. Plus it has the most adorable Persian cafe attached. The bedroom, well it was tight and certainly an adventure. We shared 1 bunk room = 4 people + 2 smaller than normal twin size beds. We couldn't all be standing at the same time
Oh my goodness! Please do call me if you have time to stop by when you're up here!
