Thanksgiving

Thursday morning we woke up bright and early to head to the infamous Catch the Gobbler 5K. Mark stayed and let Emerson sleep a little longer, but came to cheer us on at the half point mark and at the finish line. Emerson loved cheering everyone on. Aunt Claire rocked it and got 2nd place in her age division.

The rest of the day is just spent cooking, cooking, cooking.

 Just hanging with aunties

And these boys enjoyed the warm weather

Pilgrim hats for the boys and indian feathers for the girls. The babies were turkeys, but they didnt wear them too long.

I thought Emerson was going to go crazy for Thanksgiving because he likes turkey, he loves green beans, and he loves bread so I assumed stuffing was going to be a hit. He wouldn't touch anything, except my mothers homemade cranberry relish. I made the mistake of letting him try that first.... Luckily its pretty good for you, fresh cranberries, apples, oranges and spices. He ate a whole bowl full - I figured it was Thanksgiving so he could feast on his choice. Luckily he had lots of leftovers to try everything the next day.

We went to "Frozen" - Emerson & Darwin's first movie. Emerson lasted almost an hour. He was really into it for the first little bit, mostly he was just really into the popcorn. So once he was full off of popcorn he got a little restless.

Black Friday we woke up bright and early and met Melissa & Ernie at Target to grab a few things. After that I called it quits and did the rest online :)

We set up the Christmas trees
Darwin took a nice taste out of the pear ornament

The boys helped Grandpa and Omi do a little yard work. These boys love dirt.

We had express Christmas where we all got our Christmas Pajamas and we played our White Elephant gift game.  Don't worry the handerpants made a return again, for the 3rd time in a row :)

Saturday we went to the Ethel M Cactus Garden's to the beautiful Christmas light display they have. Emerson loved it! Any time he saw Santa he would go "Ho Ho Ho".

We took family pictures and Mark entertained the babes in between shots

Mark had to leave on Sunday so he could be back for work, but Emerson and I got to stayed for the next week! We had a lot of fun playing outside and hanging out with the fam
Going to the Children's Museum. This child was obessed with Water World. Anytime we have been there, even his first time at 5 months old, he has loved this part

Emerson went to his first buffet and ate mostly strawberries and was spoiled and tried his first ice cream cone... He was a big fan!

Emerson was able to ride front facing for a little while we used Omi's spare car seat and he was a big fan :)

Uncle Ernie was awesome and baby sat one night and I went to the re-release in theaters of "White Christmas" with Micah and Layne. It was so fun to see it in theaters!

We had a great time but were excited to get back to see Dad - flying with a toddler is a way different ball game. I miss the babe that would just sleep the whole flight!

He much prefers to do the pushing of the stroller instead of be pushed...

Just eating my breakfast and waving to everyone as they board
