Ringing in the New Year - Grand Teton style

New Years day Mark headed off to work, he was really busy and needed to catch up on a few things, Emerson woke up before he took off so he went to get the babe from his crib and say good-bye.  Five minutes later he came in to our room and said " Let's go snowshoeing in Grand Teton instead." Hmm deal, we got up and packed up and took off for our winter adventure. Best spontaneous idea ever Mark.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Emerson was bundled up and in the backpack and loved it. He would wave at all the people snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. My little sister Layne joined us for our adventure ( she was staying with us before the semester started) He fell asleep for a little winter nap for part of it. Best way to ring in 2014.

After we finished we drove over to the Elk refuge and where the Big Horn Sheep winter

We walked around Jackson Hole - Emerson thought all the taxidermy animals were awesome and would go up and growl at all of them.

Emerson was pretty sick of sitting and being held so we found a cute little toy store and let him go to town playing with trains for awhile.
