Nothing like a Random Trip to Vegas

Life is just as crazy as usually over in our house, full of lots of work, trips, callings, getting ready for the summer, and other things that like to pop up on us. Mark is feeling awesome now that its been 3 weeks since the surgery and we are getting ready for a trip to Washington D.C. next week. Last week on Wednesday I got an e-mail from Mark at work saying he had to go do some work in Las Vegas. So less then 24 hours later we packed up and left for a weekend in Las Vegas! The weather was in the 80's and perfect. Friday Mark had to work in Lake Las Vegas
Lake Las Vegas is pretty sweet, I got to drive over with him on our way out of town to drop off a few more things. This is where we had our engagement pictures taken so it was fun to go back

It felt incredible to be able to do things outside and to wear shorts. I like Rexburg, but the sun is something we miss, a lot. It also a bonus that almost my whole family are now in Vegas so we can see everyone when we come visit.

My parents have a screen and projector so we had a movie night with yummy treats & watched "Tangled" in the back yard with everyone.

Saturday all the girls took my Dad out shopping to buy new suits and jeans - having six girls is either a blessing or a curse depending on the day. Mark, Ernie, & the little guys went to the "man store", aka the largest Bass Pro Shop. Little E and Caleb called it the "man store". Somehow they all came home with new fishing poles, even the little guys - thats what happens when they don't have supervison in those stores. That night my we all went out to Lotus of Siam - the best Thai food, and went down to the Strip for a little.

When we left Las Vegas it was 90 degrees, when we pulled into Rexburg it was 36 degrees.....

  1. Lucky! It's nice to be able to head off somewhere unexpectedly and especially where it's warm, and you have family! We're so happy Mark is feeling better!
