Chicago

We were pretty busy the last few weeks, right after our double dose of Idaho we flew to Chicago! Mark's Aunt & Uncle just moved there and their son Drew & wife Natalie were there visiting from Georgia for the week so we decided to go spend sometime with them. We are getting in all our travel and family visits in before baby boy arrives!

Friday we spent the day in Chicago - LoAnn was nice enough to drive us through the city, not an easy task. Traffic is crazy. We started off at the Shedd Aquarium

The Aquarium was great, it is huge and had great exhibits and was right on the shores of the lake and had beautiful views. Plus Drew is as obsessed with aquatic animals as Mark is so they are good company for each other at aquariums.

That's little bean poking out there - this is at 21 weeks

Even though we didn't get to go in, it was closed by the time we finished the aquarium, I still had to see it. It is the last standing building from the World's Columbia Expedition of 1893. Which is a big deal, if your a history nerd, you get it. The architecture is amazing

We enjoyed some Chicago Deep Dish pizza - delicious

Saturday we enjoyed being in green country! Yes, we appreciate anything that is green now, Vegas is... not so green. We went biking to a nearby lake and had a jolly good time. We were lucky it wasn't super humid yet. The weather was great.

They live right by Six Flags, but we decided baby boy probably won't like the roller coasters yet, so the rest of the time was spent relaxing and enjoying everyone's company. Thanks for the great time! We had a blast and hope to go back and visit again soon.
