Emerson and Winn in their Christmas outfits from "Oma'
Christmas Eve we played "Minute to Win it" games. Here is Ernie, Justin, Litte E, and Caleb pulling tissues
Layne and Caleb playing the "Elephant Wall" ( golf balls in tights and they have to hit the water bottles over)
Ernie and Grandpa
Playing "Face the Cookie" I think Robert was the only one victorious
Best picture ever..... Claire, Collette, and Micah
"Cheese Head"
Christmas Eve Palooza ( a made up name by the Wixoms for our feast from around the world)
The feast included: Big E made Poutine from Quebec ( Fries with cheese curds and special gravy - he even made homemade fries ) Romanian wraps, German red cabbage, Mexican Bean Soup, zuppa toscana, and lots of other deliciousness.
After the feast, we read and acted out the Nativity.
Mr. Emerson was able to play Baby Jesus - he was going to be the angel and Winn was going to be the swaddled babe, but Winn was a sleep so the understudy was called upon
After the Christmas P.J.'s were opened, cookies were left for Santa, and all the kiddos were in bed it was time for the annual Christmas Eve White Elephant game
There were some beauties this year.... a classy Cat naps calendar, magic 8 ball, an i-plunge, and...
the return of the handerpants - my mom had won them two Christmases ago and they were brought back in all their glory this year.
Santa came!
Emerson could hardly contain his excitement for his new turtle and baby Einstein movies
He was soo excited that he wore himself out before we could finish opening all the other presents.
The aftermath of Christmas morning
After a great Christmas and a wonderful time spent with family we woke up the next day to some snow. Which would of been great a few days before but we were suppose to leave that evening. And it was coming down fast and hard and the roads were looking bad. So we booked it out of there and still had to drive the long way through Zions
Which was beautiful covered in snow
All in all Emerson said it was his most favorite Christmas ever - success.
