Three Months - sweet boy is talking and laughing up a storm, is loving playing and grabbing at his toys, rolling over, looking at himself in the mirror, and is just getting so darn big too fast. He weighted in 15.8 lbs (87%) and is 25 inches (94%) and 90th for his head with his smart brains. ( the doc said he is the size of an average 6 month old :) )We have no idea where this giant child came from, but he is dang cute so we will keep him. He is wearing 3-6 month clothes, but is quickly growing out of those and moving on to 6 month. Trying to be prepared, I bought all his 6 and 9 month clothes as summer clothes - thinking that it would be summer when he was 6-9 months old and wearing the correct size. I didn't take into account that somehow we would get big boy Emerson. His hair no longer sticks up so we are embracing the comb-over - luckily he can pull off his old man hairdo.
He has been sleeping from 8 or 8:30pm to about 5:30-6 then back down until 7 or 8. However, just this last week he has been crazy escape artist and gets out of his swaddle and wakes himself up multiple times a night.... not cool kid. We just have to swaddle him back up and give him his pacifier and he goes right to sleep but I would still rather not be waking up at 1 or 2 am. His naps during the day we are working on - he isn't a fan and just wants to be awake having play time with mom. He usually falls asleep and naps really well if we are running errands or on a walk or jog but as I need to shower and eat at some point in the day it would be best if he would learn to nap at home also and not just when he is in the stroller or in the car.
His eyes just keep getting bluer and bluer. He likes bath time now, yay! He splashes around and smiles - It only took two months, but we discovered he hates lavender and that helped when we stopped using that. (He has Mark's super smeller nose) It has been amazing to see how much he has changed in one month and seeing his personality start to come out. We love this cute boy, even more then last month

Oh my gosh, please bring him to me. he is so darn cute and I want to squeeze those legs. You must be having a blast with him.
ReplyDeleteHe is even cuter on person! It is so fun to watch him grow and change. Lavender in most commercial bath products is chemically based , so not the real deal! Smart boy to reject it!!
