On Martin Luther King Day, Mark didn't have work off - apparently they don't celebrate that holiday. But my sister Micah and my parents did and they were headed towards Death Valley to check out "China Ranch" - a date farm. A little desert oasis with loads of palms and delicious date shakes. Emerson and I looked over our busy schedule of jumperoo, tummy time, and singing the wheels on the bus and decided we could fit it in and tagged along for the fun.
He was as good as could be in his little Bjron and floopy hat to protect him from the sunny rays.
The weather was gorgeous that day and we enjoyed a little hike around the farm and over to a ridge with a stream and waterfall.
Enjoying some date shakes with Oma and Grandpa
He is a great hiking buddy
