4th of July

We had a great 4th of July here in Las Vegas. Mark worked in the morning so he would have enough vacation days for other trips planned. But Emerson and I joined Melissa and here family for a parade. Emerson loved it especially the floats and balloons. It was ridiculously hot so we only lasted an hour before we left so we didn't melt.

That afternoon we all met at my parents for a day full of swimming, Popsicles, & delicious food. My parents neighbor and good friends have an amazing backyard and pool. They let us use it for the 4th

This water boy was in heaven and swam all day. He took a break for a nap but then he was right back in the water. We took a dinner break for great steak and salmon my mom made, a little 4th of July devotional by my parents and then we were right back in the pool. They have an infinite pool, so it just goes off into a waterfall at the end so there is no "edge" or side. It leaves it wide open for an amazing view of the city. We watched all the firework shows all over the city right from the pool. It was incredible. I kept wanting to take Emerson to put him in bed but he was having a blast and thought the fireworks were awesome. He stayed up until 9:30! We put him in his pajamas and he crashed.
