July in Review

We had a wonderful summer, it was full of swimming, exploring, visitors, trips. Emerson took a swimming class for two weeks and did great. He learned to put his head under, blow bubbles, jump in , float on his back, and just had a lot of fun. It was great for him and fun to see him get more confidante in the water.

The yard work and weeding was a little intense, but still a lot of fun and kept us outside most of the time.
Emerson spent most of the gardening and yard work doing this...

But he does love his daily egg collecting chore

Hip-hip-hooray for a fun summer

Emerson loved the pinata at a friends party

He also loves painting in the bathtub with colored shaving cream

Markie and Tristian came up with their cute kids for a few days. It was a blast having them here. Emerson loved Ellie and we loved being able to see them again.

Markie and I were roommates and we both dated our husbands at the same time. They are wonderful friends and we are just so sad they are so far away.

 Love these kids together

Mark's brother Nate and his family were able to come and stay a few days. They live in Michigan so it was fun to be able to see them and their kids. We took the kids to the sand dunes one afternoon and Emerson was a huge fan! He may have been completely covered and had a diaper completely full of sand but he loved them.
