December in Review

December was kicked off with sprucing the house in all the Christmas Decor. Emerson loved going to go pick the tree and thought decorating was the greatest. It was so fun to have him be really excited about everything this year. He loved the tree lights and had to turn them on whenever he noticed they were off. The stockings were the greatest thing ever and he liked to talk about how he would get presents in it.

He loved our nativity set and always wanted to get up to look at it, luckily Oma & Grandpa sent an early Christmas present and Emerson received his very own nativity ( please notice the baby Jesus on the top- Emerson would only put the babe or the camel on top :) )

We went to a live Nativity, visited Santa Clause, and went on a wagon ride at a Christmas Festivity in Rexburg. It was a lot of fun, even if the line for Santa was way to long and we just waved to Santa from afar.
He did get to pet a Camel, sheep, horse, and donkey. That was way better then sitting on a bearded strangers lap in Emersons book.

Emerson also did his first toddler scribble shenanigans. I thought making him scrub it off would help but after getting all of the crayon off he did it again and came and told me and asked for the sponge back.... Apparently the cleaning up part was too fun and he had to repeat

We all had a little bug come through with the cold and we felt pretty terrible. Emerson would lug blankets and pillows all about the house and set up his "bed"
His favorite sick lounging place was right by the tree

Idaho... where kids still kid bikes even in the snow

We were pounded with snow but then it all melted right before Christmas and was in the 40's, so we took advantage of a few warm days. Emerson built a chicken perch with his Dad. Mark let him drill in the screws and he giggled the entire time, he loved it.

Emerson got a "Cars" coloring book from his cousins in the mail and he sat and colored almost the entire thing the first day he got it.

Emerson had been requesting to go "swimming" for about 2 weeks so after Mark took his last final and was done for the Christmas Break we took Emerson to Green Canyon hot springs. He loved it. It is a pretty gross old pool but it was closer then Lava for a quick sat night - but he had a blast and thats all the counts. The rest of December was spent trying to get over colds and getting ready for our Wixom Christmas extravaganza
