Christmas Part 1

We had a wonderful Christmas this year in Ogden Canyon with the Wixoms. My parents get a cabin every other Christmas for our present so we can all spend Christmas together. This year we were lucky it was close to us and only had to travel a short distance and the roads were perfect all the way up.

We were the first ones to arrive and Emerson was so excited, he kept running around and yelling "Christmas Cabin!" He went right to the bunk room and assigned all the cousins ( all 4) a bed. When I asked where Baby Calvin's bed was, he responded " No Babies!" Sorry Calvin you got the boot from the cousins bunk room.

The days were spent lounging and spending time together

doing puzzles and playing games

hot tubing- Emerson hated the hot tub, but Darwin loooved it

playing in the snow

visiting the Ogden Christmas Village

The boys rode the mini "Polar Express" about 10 times

Ogden Dinosaur Park

Emerson likes playing with Dinosaurs but any life size dinosaurs, especially T-Rex's freak him out. He always shakes and holds on for dear life.

He does like the herbivorous though.

 Digging for dinosaur bones

Quilting - We made a quilt for my great uncle George

This is how much Mark likes taking pictures :)

Christmas Chopped competition. It was so fun - Claire & Robert did an amazing job spear heading this. We all had a wonderful time and the food all turned out great!Mark and I rocked our round. With the secret ingredients of pumpkin, eggnog and avocado we made a baked eggnog French toast with a pecan crust and maple pumpkin glaze and a poached egg served over bacon with avocado hollandaise sauce. (We had breakfast round, hence the just rolled out of bed look)

 Lunch Round:

Dessert: Long story short my mom bought 50 tamales from a lady in our stake, they ended up being awful and no one would eat them - so obviously they made there way into every chop basket  :) This is Layne when she discovered it in the dessert basket - both teams promptly revolted and threw them away :)
