Christmas Part 2

Christmas Eve we have "Christmas Palooza" aka Christmas around the world. Everyone has to participate and make something from another country. It is always delicious and we get to try new things every year.

 Decorating cookies for Santa

The Christmas Nativity was anything but calm and organized :) With baby Jesus past his bedtime and a two year old Shepard and Wiseman revolting. But we got through and got to remember the birth of the Savior

 We received our great Christmas pajamas from my parents

We laid out the milk and cookies for Santa

And attempted to take a cousins picture... obviously it went really well. Then it was off to bed with them, Emerson kept saying he was scared because he was convinced he could hear Santa 

Then it came time for the best part of Christmas Eve, the white elephant gift exchange. This year Collette & Justin led us in a round of Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me which was epic

Santa came

A week before Christmas a nice elderly lady in the grocery store asked Emerson what Santa was bringing him. He contemplated this for a moment and then said a "Mack Truck"..... uhh I'm pretty sure Santa had a fire truck set aside because he figured you were barely two and probably wouldn't get that you could ask Santa for things. Well it turns out this two year old did make that connection, a week before Christmas. But luckily Santa came through and delivered his "Mack". 

 He did not let Mack out of his sight all morning.

 He loved playing legos with Caleb

 Darwin got a giant Triceratops and drug it around all morning, he loved it.

He would open a present, take a look and then go back to the Mack

 He discovered Santa left a partially eaten cookie half way through presents and decided he needed to finish it off

 Mark & I were even able to sneak away with both Ernies and Layne and snowboard half the day on Christmas. It was a lot of fun

 Really the Mack stayed with him all day

 We had a wonderful time and always are so sad when our Family Cabin time is over. Until 2016, adios.
