January & February

Our January and February in Review:

Playing in the snow. We had lots of afternoons of playing in the snow. Darwin came to visit a few times also and Emerson loved having his favorite buddy around

Eating snow
Pulling each other in the sled
We had a new member join our "homestead", Miss Baylee. She is a Irish Dexter, which is a "mini-cow" they are about half the size of a normal beef cow. They are extremely gentle in nature and dual-purpose so you can milk them or raise them for beef. She is adorable, I never thought I would ever say that about a cow, but she has long curly hair and is really cute.

Emerson is a big fan of our little cow
Mark halter breaking Baylee so we can lead her

Our neighbors also bought a Dexter and they have a barn that they let us keep her in through the winter so the cows could be together. Plus they have two goats which Emerson loves to go see and feed also.
Cross-Country skiing with my favorite buddy. The Rexburg golf course has a great cross country skiing track in the winter

We celebrated Marks birthday, they  kicked it old school and had a N64 Golden Eye tournament.
Our snow melted earlier this year and we loved being able to enjoy the park again

Mark's board game company, Broomstick Monkey Games, launched their first game on Kickstarter in February. They successfully funded, wahoo! And are working on finishing the publishing and manufacturing of the game. Mark had a few game testing nights and a launch party, Emerson loved going to "help".
