A few updates on our favorite boy. He has grown up so much in the last few months. His ability to process things and understand completely blows my away. He is witty and hilarious, and loves to laugh.
Emerson loves to help. If its cleaning, cooking, putting away, or Eliza he wants to be right on in the action. Emerson loves to help feed Eliza but hasn't been able to help since she started nursing really well at 6 weeks. He had been asking to help feed her so one morning I pumped so he could give her a bottle.
He is stuck to Marks side the minute Mark gets home and all of Saturday he wants to work outside. He loves having to go pick up hay for the cows and pulling it to the hay shed.
He is getting too independent and wants/has to do most things on his own now. The other day I was putting Eliza down for her nap and I came out to this boy prepping his own Kiwi snack. Luckily he only used his plastic knife. "Mom I didn't use your big knives because those could hurt me" I was pretty impressed, he peeled and cut it up all by himself
His dog is his favorite and helps with Yoshi some much. He takes him out for walks and to bathroom everyday.
He loves primary and I love hearing him sing primary songs when he is doing things around the house or playing in his room
Mark surprised him with a science kit. It was a gem digging kit and he was in heaven. It worked on it all week digging for gems. His favorite part was the magnifying glass or the "magnify" as he called it. He always wants to explore and magnify. He loves his little Preschool class he goes to twice a week, especially when they do experiments. They made little volcanos that "ploded" (exploded) and he talked about it all week.
We have so much snow still but it is slowly melting which means puddles. Lots and lots of muddy puddles. There is a lot of puddle splashing going on .
Emerson loves learning. He soaks everything up like a sponge. We try to do a "preschool" activity or some learning based play once a day. His favorite right now is opposites and likes to talk about what everythings opposite is. We have been working on writing and letters since last summer. He just was not into it and would not write. I tried everything that would spark an interest in it but he didn't want to. He knows all the letters but was not a fan of writing. One morning in February he was painting with shaving cream in the bath - a favorite winter activity- and Emerson started practicing his letters! I was so proud of him. He is the kid that has to be self-motivated, no one else can do it for him. He hates to be corrected or told its wrong so writing has been little bit of block for him because it takes a lot of practice and trying.
He is a goof and loves getting people to laugh. He also loves to tease, i am sure Eliza will love that when she is older.
He adores his sisterWe came home from running errands and found yoshi using the Bobbi as a bed. He thought it was pretty funny.
