7 Months

Emerson turned 7 months old on us and I can’t even believe he has grown so much. No doctor visit this month so I don’t have stats but he is getting long and crazy heavy. He is a solid little dude and we just love our little big boy to pieces.

His one volume of loud has just become louder, but we love his loud chatter. He giggles at the goofiest things and is defiantly getting little games and teasing. He is constantly putting blankets, clothes, anything really over his head so we take it off and say “Hello!” or “ Peekaboo” and then he just giggles and giggles. He is also a lot more aware of when we take things away he shouldn’t have and he does not like that.  He loves loves loves “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” and “Curious George” on PBS – not a huge fan of him watching T.V. but it is super helpful when I need to finish up dinner or when we are on a plane - he only gets to watch it every once in awhile but the minute Daniel Tiger or Curious George comes on he gets the biggest smile and gets so excited.  He doesn’t do this with any other show or character.

Pictures were a little tough this month.... this kid does not stop moving

He holds his hands up to be picked up now, – love and hate this. Now when he is in his jumperoo and we walk by he just holds his hands up and whines to be picked up. He is sitting up really well but is just trying to figure out how to get out of the sitting position so there is a lot of face planting recently. No crawling, just rolling around wherever he wants to go and explore.  We find him under beds, under the couch, wherever he feels so inclined to be.

He received a haircut and we said good bye to the floopy haired comb over do.

And tried to play with the camera most the time

He takes two – three naps a day, depending on when he wakes up in the morning. For naps we just read a story and then put him in his crib and he is out anywhere from 2-10 mins.  He did a stretch of 3 nights where he slept straight through – Euphoria is sleeping through a night without being woken up. But then he decided he really did want his early breakfast still.
Lots of enticing to keep this kiddo on his back and entertained

Our little toothless wonder has made huge strides the last week and half with solids and eats at every meal with us. Just little pieces of soft fruit or veggies, cooked grains – whole cooked Quinoa and brown rice. He will even take things from a spoon now, so I mash up some of whatever veggies we are eating and give that to him also. (I just don’t salt the veggies when I cook them now)

We love our crazy boy  - even more then last month
