Chicago

We went to Chicago to visit Mark's aunt, uncle and for his cousins mission farewell. Drew, his cousin, & wife Natalie were vising from Georgia for the farewell so it was fun to be there at the same time as them.

 We went to Lake Michigan

We all went to the Lincoln Park Zoo - such a neat zoo and it is free, my favorite price. I thought it was a lot better then the D.C. zoo

The fish were his favorite; of course.

We also rode bikes along Lake Shore Drive and downtown Chicago

Seriously that kid was adorable on the bike. It was a blast. Emerson kept trying to pull his helmet off for the first little bit

Emerson loved riding bikes, his feet were just long enough to reach Marks seat so he sat and kicked him the whole time :)

By the time we made it to the Navy Pier, this little man was out

Emerson was in Heaven, he had his aunt LoAnn doting on him and they had 2 dogs he loved and a fish tank he could look at. This boys paradise.

He figured out pretty fast that the dogs would stay by him if he shared his meal :)

Getting home was a little tough - the flights were all sold out. And it is a lot harder getting all of us home on stand by. So Emerson and I decided to go straight to Boston for a week before our trip to  Maine because that flight was wide open. Mark had to fly to Dallas and then Dallas to Las Vegas. But we all made it somewhere- the joys of flying stand by :)
