We talked to him about his birthday a few weeks before and asked what he wanted for a cake and all he would say is Chocolate or a "Tractor Cake!". I'm not sure where he saw a tractor cake but he knew he wanted one. He was very excited about his birthday and asked everyday that week if it was his birthday yet.
The day before he loved getting ready for it and luckily I had this cute little sous chef to help make the cake.
Emerson got very spoiled this year for his Birthday. We really needed a good toy or activity with the impending winter coming to help get us through the cold months since we are so use to playing outside more the year. And he really didn't have very many toys. He always went straight to the train or car table whenever we were at someones house. When we shopped around we found a "Cars" table that had a race track for cars, which he is really into, and trains, which he also loves. Perfect for both worlds.
It seemed to be a success since he played at the table for 3 straight hours on his birthday :)
Heidi and Doug came over that evening for a birthday BBQ and cake. Emerson loved playing football with his cousin Jerek.
