| Green Smoothie Monster |
Fruit is by far his favorite to eat - any kind, but peaches & apples especially right now. When we go to the grocery store he just points at all the fruit piled up and screams with delight. We have a strawberry patch and he loves to go pick his afternoon snack. He points and screeches when he sees the red strawberry until we pick it for him, then he likes to shove it in his mouth in one bite :) He just eats anything and everything, nothing he doesn't really like or won't eat. He defiantly has preferences some days on what he wants but in general he'll eat it. He had his first bite of jello - thanks dad :) - and was in sugar heaven. But other then that - oh and he had a few sucks of a sucker that a furniture sales man gave him before we took it away - we usually keep him away from the desserts still.
He crawls fast, everywhere and anywhere. He loves all this space at the new house and crawls back and forth, up the stairs, through the rooms just exploring. He is learning to stand on his own and he starting to walk! Yep, his farthest is about 10 steps. He looks like a little drunken sailor walking around. His favorite game is when Mark and I sit on the ground and we play "pass". He throws the football to Mark and then walks over to him, sits on his lap and then throws it to me, walks over to me and repeats it over and over. He says "whoa" when he loses his balance and falls on his bum.
He is extremely strong-willed and knows what he wants. If he doesn't get it -well he definitely can throw a fit. But all around is just a Mr. Curious that is touching, dumping, and exploring ever nook and cranny all day long.
He is absolutely in love with animals. There are about 8 horses that are by our house and he could stare at them all day. We also have a pasture that we are letting some people use and they put 3 cows in it for a few months - this boy was thrilled. He stares at the back door. When he wakes up from his nap he points to his window and says "moo" because he wants to look out at the pasture. He says mom, dad, "yoda" ( Heidi & Doug's dog) and "moo". He says dada the most though.
He loves riding on the lawn mower with Mark. Mark didn't take him out there the last time he mowed and Emerson stood at the glass door crying and pounding on the door screaming "dada". So he is an official lawnmower helper. He still loves Curious George but really only watches for 1 minute and then goes and does something else, it never holds his attention very long, he is too busy for shows
He dances anytime he hears music - it is so funny. He just starts moving his hips and bobbing his head whenever he likes a song.
He has had 5 hair cuts - Mark usually cuts it but Claire gave it a little trim. He just sat in sink playing with his toothbrush.
He also feels like he needs to be involved in anything we are doing. He loves helping with the laundry and watching it spin.
And helping "weed" the flower beds. He really just plays in the dirt and tries to eat it every once in awhile
He still wakes up at 530-6 for an early morning breakfast, which we are going to work on hopefully getting over this month, but then goes back down until 7. He takes 2-3 one hour naps a day. He takes a 6 oz bottle at 5:30, then around 2pm, then at bedtime.
We love this cute baby of ours, even though he is not much of a babe anymore, even more then last month
