September in Review

Emerson loves quarter machines- he had a little collections of tiny dinosaurs from a quarter machine that he loved playing with. One day he was using the bathroom and playing with one of his tiny dinos when he dropped it in the potty..... It was covered in a lot of bathroom business so I made him flush it down and wouldn't retrieve it. It was a pretty emotional day after that - he sat on my lap for about 20 minutes holding his other dinosaurs crying about his lost one.
I spy a dinosaur in a dinosaur nest..... Love this kid and his imagination now

First day of fall weather, we spent the day harvesting the garden. Emerson spent it playing trucks. This truck was his Grandpa Johns, and then Marks, and now Emersons

Learning the art of canning from his Dad. Every night through august and September Mark and I usually had to can something. We would prep everything together and then Mark would sit in the garage and work on homework while they processed.

Homemade roasted tomato sauce
Making homemade applesauce.... apparently he felt like he needed to test it, quality control.
